Professionals on the ground are the backbone of the UK’s refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump industry. But despite their crucial role, many have gone underrepresented – RACES (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers Society) is here to change that.
Founded by engineers for engineers, RACES exists to bring the grassroots of the industry together. Their mission is clear, and reflects our own: make the sector more professional, better trained, and more connected, while giving engineers the support they deserve.
As a gold partner, we’re providing the highest level of support to RACES, taking on an active role in projects and initiatives. Helping our customers and the next generation improve and grow is at the heart of our business – we recognise how important RACES’ goals are, and, as a key partner, are fully onboard with helping them achieve them.
Giving engineers a voice
RACES, which launched in 2025, fills an important gap. Working engineers have lacked representation for a long time, with little opportunity to shape the conversation about the industry’s future. By creating a platform for members to share knowledge, access resources, and push for change, RACES is offering something new.
Through free training events, members-only sessions, awards, and exclusive discounts, RACES is giving engineers the opportunity to upskill, network, and grow.
We’re excited to support this mission, helping engineers access the tools and guidance they need to excel in their roles. From staying on top of the latest technologies to providing essential advice, we’re always happy to help RACHP professionals fulfil their potential.
Supporting the next generation
We’re all aware that our industry is facing a skills shortage. Demand for refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump expertise is growing rapidly; bringing the next generation into the industry has never been more urgent. RACES is working with colleges, apprentices, and early-career engineers to help encourage more young people into the industry, making sure they’re fully equipped with the skills they need.
While we’re still at the start of our partnership, TF Solutions is working with RACES to support their efforts – through educational initiatives, recognising achievements, and celebrating engineers at all stages of their careers.
